Virtual Fishing: A Simple Test
I’ve put some time into Virtual Fishing which is a lovely a fishing system as everything is operated through the HUD, the rods are nicely designed, and you can make the rod entirely invisible which is what I tend to do. The system itself is simple as there are no upgrades to your rods, it’s entirely driven by what bait you use and all that determines is how fast you catch fish. The types of worms are as follows;
Small - L$10 for 100 - 60 Second Cast Time
Medium - L$40 for 100 - 45 Second Cast Time
Super - L$60 for 100 - 30 Second Cast Time
A nice feature of the worms is that you can trade in your worms at the HQ for the different types, I believe it was 400 Small Worms give you 100 Super Worms, but you can exchange Super to Small, Medium to Small, etc.
Each cast gives you a set amount of points which increases your rank, the higher your rank the more you can earn, although it doesn’t seem to be that significant of an increase (currently L$0.001 boost at rank 302)
For this test I only used 1X Buoys and only counted the first 100 casts of each type of worm which were bought from the crates.
Small Worms
Total Profit: L$12.50 | L$ Profit per Minute: L$0.125 (0.155 if you buy my worms)
Medium Worms
Total Loss: L$-18 | L$ Loss per Minute: L$-0.240
Super Worms
Total Loss: L$-38.10 | L$ Loss per Minute: L$-0.762
All data was collected in May 2025.
Increase Your Profits
One of the nice features of Virtual Fishing is the farming system which allows farmers to sell their cans of bait to players directly, which means farmers can offer much cheaper worms to people without having to suffer commission. Currently I sell Small Worms for L$7 instead of L$10 and Medium Worms for L$32 instead of L$40 which you can buy here this will give you a much higher profit.
Opinion
This system I used to use a lot, it’s easy to use, doesn’t require a huge investment to be profitable, it’s relatively easy to use as everything is done via the hud, and it’s pretty as you can hide your rod so it doesn’t clash with your outfit.
It used to have a much more active community but it seems to have dwindled quite significantly which is quite a shame, events are few and far unlike some of the other systems I’ve tested, however there are the odd ones. But even without the events it’s the second most profitable of the systems I’ve tested so far (most profitable if you buy player made worms), so definitely worth picking up.
