Alienum: A Simple Test

Alienum is a very simple ‘fishing game’ where there is only one type of ‘bait’ which is in the form of Energy Cells, these cells cost L$0.15 per cell and are sold at L$15 for 100 from the Energy Cell Vendors found at most Clusters and Buoys. You use the cells at Clusters and Buoys which offer different rewards for the farming aspect of the game, but both offer the same rewards in regards to Linden Dollars. There are not a great deal of landowners in this game and the clusters and buoys vary in how many times you can extract from them, the lowest I saw in my test was 15 extracts and the highest was 40.

The system is very friendly to use and is all done via the HUD making it very easy to explore, roam around, and have all the data at hand without it flooding your chat.

In the interest of curiosity I used a total of 200 Energy Cells; 100 on Clusters and 100 on Buoys, each being a 1X Multiplier for the sake of fairness, and in doing so found that there wasn’t a significant difference in the profit margin.

Energy Cells (200 Extracts)

Total Profit: L$9.79 | L$ Profit per Minute: L$0.097

All data was collected in June 2025.

Opinion

I’m a fan of Alienum as it’s all hud driven and rather simple in the process of it, I also like the theme of it. There’s enough clusters and buoys out there for you to enjoy, although I rarely ever see any multipliers these days. However for the time and attention needed there are much more lucrative games you can play.

A Question…

Do you enjoy playing a game in Second Life that rewards you with Linden Dollars? If so then let me know in the comments or inworld as Kaline Lycia.
