RHOBH: S15, E02 - Bearing It All
The Episode…
Slow burn episode with not a great deal going on beyond the wives visiting each other individually, followed by a great art party at Tilly’s house (so glad to see her in it!) The episode also introduced us to the last housewife, Amanda Francis, who bought Kyle’s old house and went viral smashing up the floor.
At Tilly’s they do some art but with a Tilly twist and they end up painting naked men, Erika seemed happy and playful about the whole thing, while some of the others seemed a bit prudish and shocked. It’s something I’ve noticed about these shows and the women in it, for the most part they seem like showing any interest in sexual stuff is deviant and bad, like owning that they are human and enjoy sex will tarnish their reputation. What I love about Erika is that she just embraces it.
The episode didn’t feel like a huge amount happened other than Kyle admitting she did have a relationship with somebody but that ended and she isn’t currently dating. Also that PK
The Housewives…
Erika Girardi (Jayne)- Erika is such a beautiful human being on the inside and the out. The scene where she was at the spa showed just how deep of a person she is when talking about Tom. She continues to steal the show as my favourite.
Kyle Richards - Seems to be in some sort of denial about her relationship with Mauricio and is angling to get back with him. The tiff with Dorit at Tilly’s about PK may be Kyle siding with PK so to remain within Mo’s orbit. Also, her talking about the person she has feelings for and was dating, but can’t talk about is really shady, my thoughts are that the individual threatened Bravo with litigation should they bring up his/her/their name.
Dorit Kemsley - Dorit seems to be jumping out and painting herself as the victim, something about it feels very scripted, it could be the editing, but it could be a show to paint PK in a bad light. I’d like to know more.
Sutton Stracke - Very quiet this episode and didn’t do much, which I rather liked.
Bozoma Saint John - Adored the scene where she was doing her daughter’s hair, I feel they really have a lovely family unit.
Rachel Zoe - There wasn’t much to talk about with her this episode.
Amanda Francis - The new addition. I do wonder how she is going to bond with the other housewives considering the age gap. The whole story about her and her husband to be, how they met, it felt a bit ‘Disney’ and made me cringe a bit. She also seems to be a little uptight, especially at Tilly’s when Erika joked about drinking.
Other people…
Tilly - I’m so glad Tilly made an appearance in the show, it was so good to see her quirk enter the scene. She’s fantastic and feels like such a happy person, even when she’s unhappy.
