First Impressions…

It’s another mouthful of a name which I have just been referring to as Kraken Cherry, it’s much easier.

For the most part it looks like any other Kraken in shape, however the change of colour in the top and the label does make it stand out a little more than usual. The upturned squid in the inky cherry colours really makes for a pleasant and catching label.

The Tasting…

The Tasting

There is a very distinct scent of alochol mixed with a very dominant cherry, it does take me back to a boozy black forest gateaux, it’s a very pleasant smell, inviting, and warm.

The taste itself doesn’t hold quite as much of that cherry flavour to it but instead gives you that same warmth that was in the scent of it and less prominant alcohol. The cherry does bring it’s head back up in the aftertaste but it is followed by a bit of a chemical flavour which is rather off putting.

Overall…

I do love a cherry flavoured drink, however I do feel that the alcohol in this blasts any flavour of cherry from your taste buds which leaves it as a regular Kraken drink with a bit of a chemical taste to it. I unfortunately am not a fan of this drink and have to say that after trying the coffee, salted caramel, regular, and this, it’s the bottom of my list which I do feel rather sad about.
