Once again it has worked out much cheaper to buy the Delishly Gluten Free & Dairy Free box rather than buying the individual items myself. The total of the individual products doesn’t include delivery fees so waiving the delivery fee of Delishly it works out at a saving of £8.13! Well worth it.
This month has been heavily Italian based (which works really well considering it was the Italian GP this month!) which is one of my favourite types of cuisines so I’m looking forward to digging into these especially as I’ve not tried any of these products before. White Rabbit I’ve seen here and there in supermarkets but never picked up and Lovemore is a brand from a previous box, but the rest I’ve never heard of so I’m looking forward to seeing what they are like.
Unfortunately, and not the fault of Delishly, it looks like my box took a bit of a beating and quite a few of the biscuits had been broken - this didn’t prevent me eating them though!

Lovemore - Shortbread Fingers
Lovemore (£2.75)
A nice bit of shortbread was something I enjoyed every now and again before having to go gluten free and these did not disappoint in the slightest. They were crumbly, crunchy, and had a lovely flavour to them.
Back in July’s box I tried the Lovemore Oat Crunch Cookies which I enjoyed although felt they lacked any flavour (but I think that was the intention) and once more Lovemore have provided a good product. I really should do a focused review of some of their stuff.
I would buy these again and at £2.75 I’ve no complaints.
Le Veneziane - Mini Grissini
Another treat from an era where eating gluten wasn’t something I had an issue with. These are bitesize treats that taste just like what I remember a breadstick to taste like… Perhaps even a bit better than a regular wheaty breadstick.
At £3.83 they are a bit on the expensive side but I would really consider buying a pack if I was going to do a selection of dips.
Matilde Vicenzi - Nuova Ricetta Ladyfingers
Amazon (£3.87 a pack, sold in packs of two at £7.74)
Super light with a crunchy exterior and surprisingly light interior these ladyfingers are really great on the taste buds. I didn’t try these with anything but I imagine they would be delicious with something that could be soaked up into them.
At £3.87 a pack I would really consider getting some more of these and trying them with some (dairy free) ice cream, or perhaps some Alpro soya custard… That sounds really nice now I mention it!
Just Love - Confetti Cupcakes
Ocado (£2.75)
I was instantly greeted by a lovely vanilla-esque smell when taking one of these which was the set up for the first bite. Delicious little cupcakes with soft fluffy sponge that was slightly firm on the top creating the perfect shelf for the icing which was soft but firm. The flavour was full of vanilla.
The downside to these is that they were really small and I feel at £2.75 I would prefer a little more to my cupcake than what was in this pack.
Angelic - Multi-Seed Biscuits
Real Foods (£2.95)
These biscuits crumbled ever so easily and had some nice mouthfeel to them, however I did not get much of the seediness that I was expecting, and I found them to have a lot of what tasted like garlic to them. After a few biscuits it was quite an overwhelming flavour which did put me off.
I won’t be buying these again but would be interested in seeing what other products they sell as the garlic put me off, but the biscuit itself was a nice mouthfeel.
Indulge - Sour Cream Crunchy Corn Nibbles

Firs thing I have to say about these is - resealable pack!
These took me back to those little biscuits you’d get at parties which were all different shapes and sizes, I think there was a fish shaped biscuit in them? They are super nibbly biscuits and are very moreish.
Like the multi-seed there is a distinct trace of garlic in there but nowhere near as much and the flavour actually adds to the nibbles. I also tasted a bit of onion in there too which was a nice addition.
If I were to throw a party with food on a counter I’d grab a bag or two of these to pour in a bowl for people to nibble on.
Glutamel - Pizza Base x2
Amazon (£9.49)
The pizza base was superb, nice and crisp, full of flavour, didn’t fall apart, and cooked very well. However with them being so hard to find in the UK when they are available they are extremely expensive, which is very unfortunate.
If these were more readily available and at say £3-4 then I would keep these in the cupboard - however on a plus it has opened up the world of part baked pizza bases to me.
Le Veneziane - Con Pochi Grassi
Ocado (£3.10)
I’ve not had pasta this small before and I found it quite cute, reminding me a lot of hama beads.
I cooked these to the packet’s suggestion and they came out lovely, nice and chewy, they didn’t fall apart at all, and they had a nice pasta flavour to them.
Now I wouldn’t buy these again as I prefer my pasta to be a bit bigger, however I would be interested in trying some different types of pasta from this brand.
Filippo Berio - Chargrilled Vegetables in Pasta Sauce

I used this in combination with the pasta above which worked really well and gave it some full bodied flavour which I really liked.
This said, it unfortunately wasn’t much different to homemade sauces that we make in the house with our own seasoning so I won’t be buying more jars of this. However, I do recommend getting it if you prefer a sauce in a jar.
White Rabbit - Aubergine Parmigiana Girasoli
Sainsbury’s (£3.75)
These were extremely easy to make by putting them in boiling water for 4 minutes and done! The smell that came off them was very welcoming and pleasant and was matched by the flavour of each one which had a fairly decent amount of filling to it.
This is meant to serve two but I ate the entire bowl to myself which left me feeling quite sated and it was an enjoyable experience. However I don’t think half of the pack would have been enough for me, but at £3.75 for a ready meal that’s good quality and tastes good I’ll likely be getting more of these as a back up.
Final Opinions…
My favourite products from this box was the pizza bases, the White Rabbit pasta, and the shortbread fingers. However it wasn’t an easy choice as this box was full of treats which I really enjoyed.
I found this box to be very appropriate for the month as it was highly Italian themed and arrived not long before the Italian F1 Grand Prix, so I enjoyed the coincidence there.
Next month is October which is my favourite month, I look forward to seeing what treats are instore!
